My mother, Frances, died early this morning after courageously battling a long cruel illness. She was 64 years old.
My father, my two brothers and I were with her when she slipped away.
We are heartbroken. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Yesterday NPR had a report about online weight loss programs. Earlier this year I did WeightWatchers.com, which was excellent. Ditched 12 lbs, which for the usually fit me, was a big (fat) lumpy deal.
